Background

Founded in September, 1999, NetKing's partners set out to build an Internet marketing company to help smaller businesses obtain reasonable levels of targeted, relevant web traffic. The greatest challenge small companies face on the Internet is: how to generate meaningful traffic and exposure without spending well beyond their means. There are simply too many companies vying for visibility here. For example, a search in Alta Vista on the phrase "financial planning" turned up 100,000+ results. How can a small financial planner or firm hope to be recognized among such a list? This challenge of "being found" extends to a wide range of professional services niches, and in fact, to the vast majority of web sites today.

Now we have found that even the largest companies struggle to achieve web site visibility and productivity.

 

NetKing's Business Model

The model involves the creation of high-quality, content-rich niche web sites focused on service businesses, such as financial planners, investment advisors, chiropractors, personal injury attorneys, etc. Each such site features a directory of 50,000 to 200,000 niche professionals, through which consumers may research and locate service providers in their area. A professional web "control center" featuring industry-specific news, articles and other services is created for every individual in the directory. The model is service oriented towards all members of the "triangle" of consumers, professionals and suppliers within each niche. Through these web-based services, NetKing becomes a trusted independent information authority, and a business or career development resource for professionals. As a result, we are able to create a warm, receptive audience for NetKing's Marketing and Recruiting Clients.
